From cocktail to creation
Take a flight out of the ordinary and order a drink on Mars.
Schweppes® Tonic Water may be the world’s first soft drink with hundreds of years of history, but it’s never been used like this before. Mixologist and artist both took a leap into the unknown with two creations that can never quite be tamed.

DALKHAFiNE
What binds Michelle and Dalkhafine is their unrelenting drive to invent something boldly, unapologetically new. As the world’s first soft drink, Schweppes® Tonic Water was an inspiring starting point for both of these original talents.
Michelle is the founder of Vancouver’s iconic Bar Carso and boasts serious mixology chops. Her cocktails are known for kickstarting unforgettable evenings and you can feel her energy in every sip. Unafraid of trying new combinations, she loves the tight bubbles and slight bitterness of Schweppes® Tonic Water.
Originally from France, Dalkhafine now calls Montreal home. Her multidisciplinary art has been featured by everyone from Pharrell Williams to Major Lazer and continues to win new fans around the world. She was inspired by the bold flavour combinations in Michelle’s cocktail and the diverse cultural origins of the ingredients.

Recipe
AGAVE DANCiNG
Ingredients for 1 serving:
- 45 mL smoky mezcal
- Schweppes® Tonic Water
- 1 shot of fresh espresso
- Fresh basil
- 1 Orange slice
How to mix:
First fill a rocks glass half full of ice and pour in the mezcal. Fill the rest with Schweppes® Tonic Water, leaving room for the espresso. Stir gently so as not to lose carbonation. Use a large spoon to float* the espresso on top of the drink, then garnish with fresh basil (clap the basil in your hand to express more aroma) and a slice of orange directly in the drink.
*Float - Place the spoon on top of the drink mixture and slowly pour the espresso over the spoon, letting it spill over.
Please enjoy responsibly.
